Waimea Sauvignon Gris 2023
Reviews
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit: 91/100. Bright and fresh, the inviting bouquet shows green apple, grapefruit, apricot and fresh herb notes, leading to a flavoursome palate that's vibrant and tasty. Well framed by crisp acidity, finishing long and lively.
Cameron Douglas MS: Recommended. This wine offers an alternative to Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Blanc with aroma sand flavours of white fleshed fruits, crunchy apple and citrus of lemon and grapefruit then moments of tropical fruit. Crisp, firm and dry with persistent flavours and a bright crunchy texture. Well made and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2027.
Cuisine Magazine: 4 stars. Pale in the glass with a crunchy green herbal aroma and plenty of thiol influence. The palate is mid weighted with nice intensity of flavour and fruit brightness. The acid is fresh and well balanced through to the crisp, refreshing finish.
Tasting note
White peach, green apple, nectarine and lemon aromas. A soft entry before revealing a rich mid palate of succulent passionfruit and quince flavours with a silky texture and slight waxiness note to finish minerality balance with a crisp, elegant long finish.

Food match: Combined with a pleasing acidity it makes a scrumptious and refreshing aperitif and an excellent companion to light fresh meals, seafood and herb-marinated poultry dishes or soft cheeses.
