Escarpment NOIR Pinot Noir 2020
Reviews
Bob Campbell, MW (The Real Review): 93/100. ... it is unfiltered with low sulphur additions to produce a fruit forward pinot noir with black cherry, plum, spice, dried herb and wood smoke flavours. Accessible now.
Cameron Douglas MS: 93/100. Ripe and vibrant bouquet with a core of savoury dried herb laced dark cherry and plum fruits. On the palate - fruit centric with a savoury core, flavours of spicy plums and dark berries, chalky textured with some barrel-aged suggestions. Dry, lengthy, youthful, fresh and delicious. Great drinking from 2021 through 2025+.
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit: 93/100. Youthfully charming and beautifully fragrant, the wine shows dark cherry, floral, thyme and subtle mushroom characters, followed by a succulent palate that's plump and fruit expressive with an elegant spicy nuance. Harmonious and immediately appealing. At its best: now to 2026.
James Suckling (JamesSuckling.com): 91/100. Strawberry, orange-peel and orange-blossom aromas follow through to a medium body with a lovely core of fruit, bright acidity and savory character. Delicious finish. Drink now. Screw cap.
